My passions for the forest, the canopy, the sky and, of course, the leaf - they all drive this piece.
Blown on the end of a steel pipe, a selection of the beads is painted with a composite brush of enamels and stringers. The beads are wound, sculpted, blown and decorated in a hot flame from a stationary torch.
The beads are annealed and they are sturdy in every way imaginable. They are created of glass, which renders them naturally beautiful and volatile when dropped on hard surfaces.
This toggle silver clasp is handmade by me.
The necklace is 18" long.
